COF Training Services, Inc. was grateful to host CMS, KDHE, KDADS, InterHab, and StationMD for a conversation about health care access for Kansas with I/DD, particularly in rural communities.

Through a partnership with InterHab and StationMD as part of Kansas’ Rural Health Transformation Program, approximately 2,800 Kansans with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) living in rural communities will have access to 24/7, on-demand telehealth services. StationMD is a specialized medical service designed to address the unique healthcare needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), delivered through telemedicine

“COF will continue to seek opportunities that strengthen services and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, both in Kansas and nationally, while continuing to explore innovative ways to better support the individuals we serve.” – Patrick Gardner, Chief Executive Officer, COF Training Services, Inc.

“Throughout my years in the I/DD field, I have seen firsthand the health disparities experienced by the people we support. I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity to complement our local healthcare partnerships with on-demand access to medical professionals who specialize in the unique health needs of people with I/DD. This is an exciting step toward bridging healthcare gaps for individuals living in rural Kansas.”

– Rachel Neumann, Chief Operating Officer, COF Training Services, Inc.

We are grateful to InterHab and our partners across Kansas for this opportunity and for their continued work to strengthen the I/DD service system and create more opportunities for people to live, work, and thrive in their communities.
