Job Development: Employment Services will work with employers to match the job with the employee's skills and abilities. The goal is mutual satisfaction between employer and employee.

Job Coaching: ES will train (job coach) the employee on the job, and gradually fade out as skills are performed to the employer's satisfaction.

Vocational Counseling: This means trouble-shooting of job-related concerns on a continual basis, and providing support and advocacy for the consumers.

Follow-Along: Approximately once monthly ES staff will visit the employee on the job to either observe his or her work or to speak with the employer or coworkers about progress, needs, etc.

Benefits Monitoring: Some of the employees receive Social Security benefits and need to carefully report their income. ES staff are on top of the data collection, reporting, and overall monitoring of such benefits for those who receive SSDI and payee services from COF

Attention Employers:

Did you know that your company could receive a tax break due to a promotion to hire certain groups of persons who have higher unemployment rates nationwide, without regard to race, religion, or national origin? Please ask your tax advisor about IRS form 8850. Ask about the Federal Tax Credit program called the Work Opportunity Tax Credit or Welfare to Work Tax Credit.
